Yo Ghana! is delighted to present Miss Berthy Kpiebaya as our Ghana Coordinator of Internal Relations. Last year she kept the letters to and from our two Winneba schools flowing smoothly and oversaw excellent research projects by Don Bosco students. This year she'll be working with all twenty-one of our Ghana partners and plans regularly to visit all of our Ghana schools.
Miss Berthy is from Nanville in Nadowli/Kaleo District of the Upper West Region. She graduated earlier this year from the University of Education, Winneba with a B.A. in Social Studies Education and is working toward "a career that puts me in the position to help young people, especially girls, get a quality education." "Yo Ghana! has given me the opportunity to experience the world from young children's view," she continues. "It's a happy family." We are thrilled to have someone of Berthy's quality and experience as our first full-time staff member. Her excellent blog is at: https://sugarkpiebaya.wordpress.com/.
Madam Lucy Ampate Sarpong, who has done wonderful work for Yo Ghana! while juggling many other responsibilities over the past two years, is assuming the title of Coordinator for External Relations, using her extensive experience with U.S. university students visiting Ghana and her knowledge of Yo Ghana! schools to help us to plan and execute Portland State University study-abroad classes and other international initiatives. She's the perfect person to be guiding us through this new and exciting phase of our development.
